8 Time-Saving Hacks For A Shiny Kitchen

The kitchen is the place we use most in our homes, and it definitely goes through a lot – the daily dishes, spills, stains, oil splashes, and so much more. We all know how dreadful it is to clean the kitchen every single day, so here are 8 mind blowing-hacks to save you the time and hassle when cleaning up your kitchen!

It can be a huge burden when stubborn coffee stains get stuck on our favourite mugs. Pour a teaspoon of baking soda over the stains and add some water to create a paste-like mixture. Use a damp sponge to scrub off the stains, and rinse to remove the remains of the baking soda. Your stains should be gone by then!

3. Suck up the dirt in your cabinets

Using a vacuum cleaner to suck up all the dirt and crumbs in your kitchen cabinets makes the cleaning process so much faster! This method works well for other shelves in your home as well.

4. A quick and easy save for your burnt pots and pans

You know you’re in for a tough time when you accidentally burn your saucepan. Fret not, we’ve got you covered with one of the best ways to salvage this smoky situation. Simply add a decent amount of baking soda along with a bit of water on the burnt portions of the pan to form a paste. Crush up some aluminium foil and use it to scrub off the burnt bits from the pan. Finally, rinse the pan in warm soapy water.

5. One lemon away from a sparkling clean microwave

All you need to do is cut up a few slices of lemon and put them into a bowl of hot water. Turn on the microwave until the water boils, then let it sit for around 5 minutes. Open up the door to wipe down the surfaces, and your microwave is good to go for the week!

7. Baking soda saves the sink too!

To clean up your dirty sink after doing the dishes, sprinkle some baking soda into your sink and use a toothbrush to scrub any dirt off, then rinse off the baking soda and dirt.

8. Don’t forget about your favourite cleaning tool

the sponge!

Sponges help to clean many things in the kitchen, but they need to be cleaned too! Leave your sponge to soak overnight in a bowl of hot water with ½ cup of vinegar and a few large pinches of salt. Squeeze out the liquid the next morning, and let the sponge dry. Alternatively, you can also put them in the dishwasher, or boil them in water for just a few minutes.
